A spokesperson for Orange in France has confirmed that they will sell both the locked and unlocked versions of the iPhone in France. No prices as yet except that it will be "more" than the €399, or $560 that the locked version will sell for. Well a quick trip to Apple tells us that their fancy-shmancy new operating system Leopard with glossy buttons and time machines is less than ten days away. Last time they did a release this big they gave us 17 days but a nice quick lead up this time. The release is a Friday so Mac fiends can play over the weekend.

Apple has announced (see below) that Leopard will not be released until October after developers had to be used on polishing up the iPhone, which is one track for late June. Tradeoff is fine with me, bring on the iPhone!
